Yes, Sasha Suda was fired for an apparent lack of transparency and approval with her (former) board through her process.

But The Art Newspaper did spill the literal cost:

“The rebranding cost $250,000, plus unspecified additional costs for paid media and way-finding expenses, a museum spokesperson told the Inquirer.”
