What happened next was more surprising: In just four weeks, the number of daily active users across the iOS and Android versions of the Meta AI app went from 775,000 to 2.7 million (as of October 17). Daily app installs rose to 300,000 after sitting below 200,000 in previous weeks.

Have you heard of Sora? Probably? Have you heard of Vibes? Probably not.

Vibes came out weeks before Sora did and is, effectively, the same thing as Sora: a feed of purely AI-generated videos. The wild thing is that it turns out it was incredibly successful for Meta. A 248% increase in a week.
